Hey guy's so recently i decided to buy a tablet but with so many choices out there, combined with my inexperience in buying tablets since this is my first one. Now i am gonna make it clear i don't have any thing against apple products they are great i just don't feel like buying one since i am more used to operating systems like windows and Android.

So i looked around and besides the well know i-pad i found a few tablets from asus, samsung, acer and sony but since i am completely clueless on how they perform since i never used one i thought i would take other suggestions and tips before i buy one.

so here is what's going to narrow the search. My budget is around 300$ a bit over that is fine buy me, i want something fast i hate lags and fezzes, a nice screen since most of what i am going to use it for is watching movies which brings us to battery any thing with decent battery life is fine by me, i would really prefer if it ran Windows 8 or any thing other that i-os once again with all the love to apple users.

i am sorry if i have missed something its just that i am more of a pc guy and never used a tablet, if you want any thing ask i would be more than happy to help. :P

There have been rumors of the new Nexus 10 being made by Asus which could mean it is coming out very soon, if you don't want to wait I would suggest the Nexus 10 or Sony Xperia Tablet Z

yes but if i recall correctly the iconia tab was released really early when windows 8 was still new, so my question is does it get updates? and one more thing how are the speed and smoothness?

I would buy the next nexus 10 or the nexus 7, I have a nexus 4 so they would fit great.

If you have something big against the nexus line, then buy the Xperia Z tablet, seems like the only good option that is as widely avaliable like the galaxy tab (which in my experience, sucks)
