Take out the old one. Note where each of the cables went previously. 8-pin that is (likely) split in a 4+4 fashion goes into the CPU slot, not into your graphics card. The giant, thick, 24-pin cable goes into the only place it will.

Note to put the fan so it faces the outside of the case unless your PC is on carpet. We don't want your PSU sucking in air from the carpet :P

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

I have an intel i5 2400 3.1 GHz, GTX 660 EVGA superclocked edition , 8GB DDR3, SATA 7200 rpm hard drive, multi-media optical drive. My rig requires about 315 watts, and I already have a new corsair cx430, I was just wondering if anyone has any installation tips.

Maybe keep the cables you're not using zip-tied together and out of the way. It's pretty straightforward otherwise; unplug some things... put in new power supply... re-plug some things.

Woah a cx430. Dude why do you try running such good specs on such a low end psu. A seasonic m12ii evo isnt too much more ant quality will last you more than 5 years. Cx have been known to give up and fry other things after a year or so
