What's the better option/setup

Hey guys, I'd really appreciate if you would take a look at these 4 possible network setups and tell me which is the best:

Notes:

-The modem/router (Doscis 3) will only function as a modem.

-It is a lot better for the WiFi coverage on the first floor to have the router on street level, close to the modem.

Equipment:

-My switch is a Netgear GS108 (Gigabit ethernet switch with 8 ports, unmanaged)

-My router is a Netgear Nighthawk R7000

-My 2nd floor AP will be a Netgear EX6200 or Netgear Nighthawk EX7000 (argumented opinions are welcome).

Questions: -Which setup is the best?

-Are router and AP switches as good as the GS108?

-Is it better to have the APs directly hooked up to my router, therefore having the router in the basement.

-Will it give me better performance if I utilize all the cables running to the upstairs by using a switch/router downstairs or by having 1 cable from the switch/router to the AP's switch upstairs?

In MURICA the "street level" is the first floor.

in hotels, most people consider it ground floor

In houses its considered first floor

its so weird ;-; Murica' needs to get its facts straight.

No, bc the ground floor in a hotel is followed by the second floor.

your post is missing the important bits, the devices that are going to connect to your network.

At a high level I prefer your last diagram, simplicity usually makes life easier.

However from my recent experience of wifi networks I wouldn't install anything but UniFi in new installs, they are simple powerful and with seamless transmitter transitions.

I would then pair them with a router that has the features and throughput to handle your internet connection speed.

A little knowledge is very dangerous
