Do you guys know of a reliable adapter that would be really simple to access the files and formatting the drives.

just buy a sata 6 wire and hook it up inside your pc?

they have a max length of 1m. That's retarded, unless OP buys a hot swap bay for the front of their case

@OP, when shopping, pay attedntion to the max capacity per bay on these USB docks, a lot only support up to 2TB or 4TB drives.

there might be something better out there, but this doesn't list a max capacity and the price isn't bad. 

I'm gonna stick around to see if someone makes a better suggestion, truth is I could use a couple of hard drive docks myself
