Cooling Tips

I'm getting ready to attempt my second build, but being a novice, I do have a few questions. 

 

My build is going to closely resemble the BETTER $2000 Build that Linus did. There will be only a few minor changes (mainly a i5 Haswell instead of an i7). My only concern at this point would be that my current build has been running really hot recently (the processor at least, I have a AMD FX-6100 Six Core processor). Usually I don't have this problem and I use this build really only for gaming. Today I bought BioShock Infinite and even on the Medium graphics setting it shoots up into the low 60's and I usually maintain a 40-45 Celsius temp. I have the Cooler Master HAF 932 case right now which has really decent ventilation.

 

In short, for my new build, would I have any cooling problems with a GTX 780, and a Haswell i5 inside a Fractal Designs Define R4 case? Would the Dark Rock 2 heatsink be something that would help me out in that respect?

You should be fine. You might want to stick an intake in the bottom of the case and orient your two tops as exhaust and have your rear as intake or exhaust as per your choice.

 

A single 780 and an i5 should produce manageable heat in an R4. Keep in mind it is not a cooling optimized case.

No you will not have any problems, and yes the Dark Rock 2 would be fine.

What would be some decent 140mm fans that I can throw in there?

The Dark Rock 2 is a great CPU cooler, but 60 degrees really is nothing to worry about, when you're CPU hits mid 80's you may want to start thinking about it though. As for 140mm fans there's Noctua NF-A14 and be quiet! Silentwings 2.
