Is there such thing as a slow solid state storage that's affordable?

I'm just curious if there's a technology out there that's quiet, non-mechanical, cheap.

I'm thinking of eMMC chips? do they come in 2.5 inch form factor? Other type of chips? Flash drive chips?

Read speed of at least 60 Mb/s and write speed of at least 30 Mb/s?

there are thumb drives with SSD hardware in them and speeds of 300MB/s+

Asking for opposite lol.. Slow usb 2.0 grade flash chips in an ssd form factor.. I don't think they exists.. or do they?

128gb Sandisk microsd is quiet expensive.. maybe I can buy an 2.5 sata to 8 micro sd adapter then raid all 8 micro sd lol.. there must be other solution..

SNIP

Why would that exist?  there is no market for that

SSDS are already getting cheaper and mech storage is dirt cheap and reliable for normal data

Can you explain why you need a slow cheap SSD?

Quiet, low power, potentially usable as giant flash drive(while still having SATA port)

Just get a cheap SSD and put it in an enclosure?

Cheap SSD doesn't exists.. or does it? I mean, I'm aiming for high capacity(500GB) mass storage that's quiet and affordable($100 for 500GB+?, $150 for 1TB?).. essentially a hdd speed and everything except solid state.. sigh.. maybe they don't exist.

Doesnt exist - especially not 1tb

You can get 500gb for $100-$130

You can also get OTG SSDs, or you could get an mSATA ssd and enclosure if you want it to be smaller

Creeping into the market at the moment, slowly but surely, are USB 3.0 SSD Thumb drives, most are compatible with holding an OS. You can even buy a mass-storage type one with 256GB of space.

I'm pretty sure LinusTechTips covered a video on them in 2014, you can check for that video.

Anyway, these SSD Thumb drives are quiet, efficient and portable, which could be handy in work or school environments.

Not even close to affordable lol.. also they're too "external". sticks out too much. Thanks for replying anyways.

Of course there are some noises, (it's a hard drive, duh) but it's not that loud

Well.. I got my pc to idle at 23-26dB according to my phone app. It used to be 45, now whenever my secondary

HDD starts spinning it jumps to 30dB which is very noticeable..
