I honestly don't know if I trust crystal disk info... Let me ask you this, is your drive performing normally right now? I know people will say it COULD fail at ANY time but I'd backup right now then keep using it till it dies... just saying...

In mass production the quality control can't really be 100% accurate. Some products always slip through with issues off the bat. Some are dead to begin with and some have more minor issues. The thing with both is that latent defects can only be spotted after some use. Then there's everything that can happen to the unit in shipping, storing and installing without anyone noticing. It's by no means a WD only issue.

Alright. Then it's more likely that the software you used previously simply doesn't fully support your drives. Just keep your backups as always and re-check periodically. Set a calendar reminder or something in a couple of months. Better to be safe than sorry. :D

This is why I take anything that Crystal Disk info says with a large pinch of salt
