Why no delete topic button?

We do not allow members to delete topics at the moment.

But why? Is it a programming/ legal/ time management/ something/ issue?

 

We just don't want regular members running around deleting things. Bear in mind that deleting a thread would mean deleting all replies to that thread as well.

If possible I think the option to delete your own thread if it has zero responses would be nice. Lots and lots of double posters out there

It's a forum, some of these topics can contain valuable answers and information that may have been inquired by the OP. Users can later search for a topic and see that it had already been resolved.

That's difficult to implement AFAIK. We can only turn permissions for deleting threads on or off, nothing inbetween.
