More or less this - they also didn't tell anyone about the Kepler nerf - or the Tessellated water in Crysis 2 designed to screw over AMD and themselves - 50% penalty for AMD, 20% penalty for them -DO IT!.

Well - there is a reason that all the VR demos ran on Fiji GPUs - GDDR5 does NOT work with VR - not well anyway - the latency is too high and it causes a sub-par experience. HBM is, indeed, the future. R9 nano is an mITX Fury* - something Nvidia do not have.

Should I remind you how hard nvidia fans rode the hawaii space heater joke? Ignoring the likes of the 480? And how nobody is saying anything about the heat output of the titan x and 980ti when it's very close to what hawaii does? There are fanboys on both sides and some arguments have more merit than others. Personally I like to talk facts. It is a fact that hawaii runs hot, just like it is a fact that part of the 970's specs were falsified (be it on purpose or by mistake) in the information given to reviewers. Neither of the two is that bad of a thing, but at the same time it's something to bare in mind when shopping for a new card.

the truth is nvidia shafted us and amd make pointless gpus like the nano and fury, they have made what 4 extra gpus this year, nano, fury, fury x and soon fury x2, the fact is, the 980 beats the 390,390x and it seems like its going to beat  the nano, 3 gpus are already beaten, the only gpus that perform better than a 980 is the fury (very small) and the fury x which gets slaughtered by the 980ti.

980 compares to the 390X, not the 390. Fury is about 20% faster than the 980.
