Posted August 9, 2013 Been thinking about putting in a window in place of the mesh that's on the side panel now. Thing is, all I have is 3/8" plexiglass laying around. Lol other than making it nearly bullet proof, think it would increase my temperatures by a whole lot? Using an h220 and a reference 780. Front, rear and top fans will stay in place. Currently I can run the h220 at 10% and maintain steady temps under load. 780 sounds like a hair dryer under a big load like expected. Posted August 9, 2013 If you are worried about temps too much throw a Silverstone AP121 in the bottom and it will channel air directly into the reference cooling fan on your 780. I have a 500R and I am just waiting on the plexiglass to arrive before installing it. Mine should be done by Monday or Tuesday I think. It would be cool to see yours when/if you do it. I haven't done it yet, been looking around for my router so i can bevel the edges of the window so it fits just right. Trying not to cut into the side panel in case i need to replace the mesh at some time.
