PCIE lanes being used by the GPU and Microstutter

If I use x8 and x8 for each GPU would that increase microstutter compared to x16 on each GPU

in theory, no.

 

unless using AMD cards, such as the R7 260, R9 285, R9 290, R9 300 series, R9 fury series. As these cards use the PCIe bus for crossfire. While AMD did validate their cards to CF without issues on 8x Gen2. We cannot say for sure if 8x vs 16x or gen2 vs gen3 will have any unforseen issues as nobody seems to have tested this, short of AMD that is...
