I've actually created an other thread about this subject but now I've done a bit of a research but I want to hear what people have to say.

I have found the Asus VG248QE, which seems to be a great 1080p (TN though..) panel for gaming.

BUT. Having spent so much on my i7-6700k/980ti system, I think I might as well step up the game and get a 1440p monitor.

To give you guys perspective, I currently use a 1080p, 60Hz, 5ms Response Time monitor, so not a great overall package...

Yes I do play LOL, CS:GO and the Asus is a good choice for those games, but I fill like I could give up on a bit of response time, refresh rate and such, FOR Higher resolution, better actual monitor quality, ajustable hight, better color reproduction.

Anything to suggest under that 350 bucks mark? or you feel like the Asus VG248QE is a better choice for my needs overall?

+Should I consider the Asus-PB287Q 4K monitor at all?

Thanks :)

i have an asus PB287Q monitor and it looks stunning

but 4K isnt for anyone as if you scale everything as 100% then everything would be too small to see

i get 200fps in LoL on max settings with a Geforce 760 while streaming so i think your system would be enough to drive it

(although isnt PB287Q like $600?)

The PG278Q is also pretty good but also with a price tag of $600+

i guess you could get either one of those used for $300 - $400

Well if you're looking for better color reproduction I'd go with an IPS monitor, the BenQ GW2765HT looks pretty decent from what I've seen. Otherwise what's said above is what I'd go with.

CPU: i5-4690k GPU: 280x Toxic PSU: Coolermaster V750 Motherboard: Z97X-SOC RAM: Ripjaws 1x8 1600mhz Case: Corsair 750D HDD: WD Blue 1TB

I can actually find the PB287Q for cheaper than the PB278QR, I guess it's because of the fact that one is a TN and the other is an IPS panel. Hm... Those 2 monitors both look sick. Well they both cost 450, which is more than 350 i think... I might get away with it.

Which one of the 2 do you prefer knowing that the system handles them both? Better color or more pixels? I think that's the question here.
