Posted August 29, 2015 so i went to go fold today and it was taking for ever on my gpu so i opened gpu tweak and found my gpu (gtx 970) would not go over 540 mhz core clock no matter what i do, any advice ? Posted August 29, 2015 Are you using the EVGA Precision X OC tool? If you make it go Kboost and it's not stable at the load FAH puts on it, it will default to this frequency for no reason. Just happened to me when I tried applying an OC profile (which is otherwise stable), and it not only RESET my WUs for GPU, but it derped out on me and went from 1.2GHz to 540MHz. Posted August 29, 2015 not using precision I'm using gpu tweak as stated in the first post Might I assume all OC tweak tools use a similar function that causes this phenomenon... Are there any circuit engineers in the house that might be able to explain this? (I am "me too"-ing this issue) Would love to have an explanation as well. This is the Craft of PC Building.
