scaling issues (nvidia)

Go to solution Solved by Octavialicious,

nvm folks I got it, CS:GO just changed the video settings on me :/

yo yo, I am trying to play CS:GO with 4:3 stretched but currently it's not working. The resolution is 1440:1080 (4:3) but it won't stretch

My scaling options are Full Screen, Scale on GPU, and Override is not ticked. Thanks!

Well, if you set it the scaling mode to fullscreen it will fill up the screen...

Set it to Maintain Aspect Ratio, on GPU, and check the override box.

Now my monitor has black bars, and the game still looks minimized.

I'm trying to get the game to get into fullscreen, and to stretch instead of having black bars

I play on the same res. I use two monitors. Just set the main monitor to the custom res of 1440x1080 and then change it in game. Also, play in fullscreen to reduce input lag and avoid awkward brightness level.

i think thats a monitor based thing, some monitors stretch, others black bar, a few allow you to pick between the two.

Sorry I thought it was stretching and you didn't want it to. Set it back to fullscreen but keep the override box checked.
