Hello guys

This is a really annoying issue for me right now and I am hoping someone on here can help me resolve this issue. I purchased some computer parts from SCAN (UK) on June 9th and I have been having issues with poor performance in games ranging from high cpu usage on idle to high memory usage both of which comes and goes when my MSI GTX 770 4GB is in the PC, also every game i play with the 770 gets between 10 & 15 fps. I have looked around the internet to try and resolve the issues to no avail. When I put the 770 in my stepdad's computer it runs fine. I have put my old XFX HD6850 into this computer in the meantime which runs fine in this PC. I thought installing windows 10 may fix the issue but it still remains.

I have attached a link to a screenshot of the spikes in BF4 along with the fps counter in the top right with task manager and GPU-Z open, this was just on the test range with only BF4 installed on w8.1.

I have no idea if this could be caused by the motherboard, CPU or ram.

My specs:

OS - W10

CPU - I5 4590 @ stock

Motherboard - Gigagbyte z97x-gaming 5

RAM - 8GB Corsair Vengence pro @1600MHz

Stepdad's specs

OS - w10

CPU - AMD Phenom 2 965 Black edition @ stock

Motherboard - Foxconn A7DA-S 3.0 motherboard

RAM - 8GB kingston hyperx @ 1333MHz

Thanks

EDIT

It used to work fine on my old z77 setup that I had.

3570k

MSI z77 g45 gaming

Corsair XMS3 ram.
