weird issues with ram

Go to solution Solved by kameshss,

yep i reset the bios when i got it to boot and no it didnt work

when i tested all 4 sticks of ram i tried each slot which there is 4 and it booted just fine but when i put 2 or more sticks of ram in it wouldent boot at all

BIOS reset button on the motherboard.

Not the S/W reset.

this morning my wife's PC wouldn't post and i did some troubleshooting before i got stuck

so idk if the mainboard is screwed up or what but the pc will only boot with one stick of ram out of the 4 sticks of ram that work

which means i tried 1 stick in each slot all work fine but when i start to add sticks it wont even post at all the bios splash screen wont even come up at all

does this mean the board has a short in it or what b/c this is confusing me
