That is just when they clamp down that side of the heatpipes so the liquid won't come out.

I'm surprised that one doesn't have caps on it so it looks better. You can never get all the tips to look the same.

I love the way Be Quiet! does the top of the heatpipes. Actually I like everything aesthetically on the dark rock coolers.
