I've looked on forums online to see if I can find any fixes for the following issues I have had with windows 10 but I have had no luck as of yet.

In Chrome anytime I type in the URL it often does not display most of the text I am typing. But this only occurs in the Chrome URL no where else.

Thinks I have done to try to resolve the issue:

  • Disabled all extensions
  • Reset browser settings
  • Uninstalled and reinstalled Chrome (but did not delete all data when I did this, may try that next)

Links on the windows Tool Bar to file browser do not work. If you click them it does nothing for ~15 seconds the screen will go black and then it will just go back to the desktop and has to kind of rebuild the icons. It does the same under the start menu as it does on the toolbar

Thinks I have done to try to resolve the issue:

  • Replaced icon with link to "Computer" instead of the filer explorer
  • Windows updates

Just wanted to update for anyone who has the same issue and happens to come to this from a google search.

The issue with file explorer crashing was due to AutoCAD 2014 that I had on my computer. There are reports of 2013 not playing nice with the registry either. I do not know of any other version having this issue and as of right now the only way to fix it (as far as I know) is to uninstall the program.

I am still having an issue with chrome though even after using revo uninstaller and taking care of any file left behind by the chrome uninstaller. If anyone has any suggestions I would really appreciate it.
