Auto downclocking

Go to solution Solved by arniks8,

Set power plan to balanced.

How would I go about setting my CPU to downclock when not doing anything but will return to original clock speeds when a demanding program is used? It used to happen before - downclocking to 800Mhz when Idle and clocking back to 4.0/4.4Ghz when the time comes

._. It worked xD. I rarely check the power options and it was always on high performance. Thanks

Only difference between high performance and balanced is that balanced allows to down clock CPU when there is no load.
