I`ve recently put together a new build that does not post, no fans spinning no nothing, so i Returned my psu and tried agan with the new one, same thing happened, no signs of life when manually shorting the power-pins. When the PSU is plugged into the wall and turned on my motherboard gets really really hot, so warm that I cant keep my finger on it for more than 2 seconds. I`ve tried both inside and outside the case if that matters. The psu fan doesnt spin either.

Can you please explain?

What it basically means in essence is that for some reason the board has short-circuited itself, and it heating up like that could be caused by electricity simply building up w/o anywhere to go, due to the damage. If you can, try another motherboard and see if it works. However, if this is the case, the motherboard you have now can cause severe damage to other components in the system if allowed to, by running it.

You've tried shorting the PSU pins and still no luck?

Could a faulty PSU. If it's not grounded properly, or giving incorrect voltage to something that could cause the motherboard to heat up.

got another PSU to test on?

It's not a race to the bottom.

I repeat, Ive tried with 2 psu`s. Cx600 m. Do I need to manually set voltage or something?
