it is fast!

 

I have fibre too, so when the internet in my house isn't being used (I'm on youtube at the moment) the upload speed goes up to around 2-4MB/s (megabytes, not megabits ;)) which is reasonably fast for a home connection imo.

 

Setting it up can be a bit of a pain if you're new to it though. You'll definitely need Fail2ban installed to prevent people from brute-forcing into SSH.

 

I use lighttpd because the config file format is similar-looking to code, and as the name implies it's quite light. Nginx webserver outperforms it in the majority of tests though.
