So I've been using a Seagate 3TB external hard drive for a couple months now and today I got on Xbox and I noticed a lot of my games where missing and I realized that my Xbox wasn't recognizing the drive. So after changing plugs and wires and restarting it still wasn't showing up. So I plugged it in to my computer to format it but it wouldn't show up in my computer or disk manager. But it shows up devices and printers and the status said working fine. What do I do?

This is slightly technical.. but you could try this.

Click on Start --> In search box, type cmd and press Enter.

"Command Prompt" will be opened.

Now enter the below commands one line at a time pressing enter afterwards:

set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices=1      (Press Enter)

cd\                                                                      (Press Enter)

cd windows\system32                                      (Press Enter)

start devmgmt.msc                                          (Press Enter)

"Device Manager" window will be opened.

Now in the device manager, click on "View" and then Select "Show hidden devices"

Now expand all the nodes by clicking on "+" symbol. If you find any greyed entries then Right click on it and Select "Uninstall".

Restart your PC --> Now try connecting your external drive.

Good Luck
