So I was downloading and installing/uninstalling multiple vpn clients and when I uninstalled hot spot shield or open vpn my internet stopped working. I can't connect using ethernet or a Wi-Fi adapter. I've tried updating my network driver but nothing. My internet says that it's limited.

Check what the connection is set to, is it public or home?

I still don't understand.

click the wifi button, click network settings, then click network and sharing center, up the top, see if it says public or home  :)
