AKG vs. Sony

So... I made another post asking best Beats headphones. And  I have realised how stupid I was. So now... the same questions for AKG K67 tiesto vs. Sony mdr v55. 

 

Which of those headphones are best for each category? Sorry I'm very strict with my requirements.

 

Durability:

Sound Quality (bass, clarity):

Comfort:

Looks:

Sound isolation:

 

I have heard that AKG headband is not very durable. Correct me if I'm wrong. But on the other hand the Sony design looks too boring.

 

I will be using my headphones for everything.

 

You can suggest me some other headphones in the same price range but those two are my favourites. So which one is the best?

I'm going to give my vote to Sony. I don't have experience with this exact model but all the Sony equipment I've owned was good and (in most cases) very durable. Sony also seems to do the bass thing quite good from my previous experiences.

Oh now this is a hard one, both sides are very good, both sides are very durable, both sides are very comfortable(for headphones), both sides looks reasonably stylish, both give exterior sound the finger, bass is similar, Sony has tight bass but AKG has tighter bass sadly it means that it struggles a bit with some songs. 

 

Then it comes down to warrenty, ive not had to deal with either company directly for audio products, i dealt with sony because we had a defective ps4, they send us a new one within a week. 

 

Ill give Sony the benefit of the doubt, ive had more experience with them and they build their shit like tanks, they are very well balanced and dont warp or peak unless you are listening at a freakishly high volume which would likely f your ears up regardless. I cant say if AKG has good warrenty so instead of biting the bullet i think its a good idea to play safe, both are great though

I would definitely buy AKG k67 but I'm really worried about the durability. Sony is my other opinion. So people who have or had the K67s would you like to tell me something about them? Durable? not durable? I will use them daily so... Pretty heavy usage.

Ok. found a few more alternatives: Akg k618, Sony xb600. And also Akg k67 and mdr v55. Lets ask simply: Which are the most durable out of these four? Also best bass? and Comfort? Also sound Isolation has to be good. I don't want to be a walking speaker.

Dude, just save up and buy the Sennheiser hd25 if you need dj headphones. They're one of the most durable headphones ever made. Another great option for durability is the Sony mdr-V6/7506. The sonys are definitely in your budget.

Sony MDR are incredibly durable. I had some MDRV6 and liked them quite a bit, though they can fit a bit tight and become uncomfortable after extended use (though this is also done by design to help create a seal). I assume the MDRV5 would be durable as well, though I haven't used those personally.

 

Never used AKG but I've heard good things.

I Googled the he mdr v55, and they look like they would break super fast. All of the ones that OP is looking at look like they would break quickly to me.

a lot of people use akg. If you had actually read the words I wrote, the mdr v6 and 7506 are durable. The mdr v55 does not look like it would be at all. Actually read posts through please.

I read all posts. I have 4 alternatives which I asked you to choose. And also your recommendations are so ugly that I wouldn't wear them when walking to school etc. Also this is my opinion. You may or may not like the design. And I can't find the 7506 and v6 from finnish stores. At least from webpages...

The AKG should be fine, dont look that durrable. The sony XB600 on the other hand, they are verry comfotable/isolating, and feel sturdy.

I have had some experience with them at best buy, feel very sturdy and comfortable.

Well... Shit. I've been looking for headphones over 2 months. Still can't decide. I want to buy AKG but the build quality... And Sony would be also good but ugly looks and looks pretty uncomfortable (v55)...
