Windows 10 app

Hi everyone, I've decided i want to upgrade my rig from windows 8.1 to windows 10. The only problem is i don't see the get windows 10 app, looking online i was told i had to update windows and i should see it only catch is every since i installed windows 8.1 in early January my windows updates never worked so up until now i have had them disabled. Trying to install them i they download but do not install i have 11 optional updates and 66 important and they just will not install. There is room on my C drive so that is not the problem i have tried doing some separately and still nothing. Is there another way i can update to windows 10. My windows 8.1 is genuine and i still have the key if that helps.

Downloaded it, but it failed to install. totry again it wants to download windows 10 again and im not sure if its going to fail again or not because it didnt give me a reason. With my australian internet im not keen on downloading it ten times for it not to work.

im going to say yes.

Or try this.

Open windows update

Open admin cmd prompt

Type wuauclt.exe /updatenow

Hit search or updates on windows updater, at the same time hit enter on the cmd prompt window and it should download win10

Downloaded installed, on the restart it failed to install it tried once again and failed, then undid the changes. And im back to were i start with not being able to install windows updates.

Ok, so I have just succeeded in getting the get windows 10 app. I am really not sure how because i am still unable to install any windows 8.1 updates. When will i be able to download windows 10 and will it work or will it just not install like every other update I have tried in the 8 months I have had this windows installed on my PC.
