Hey i am planning to build my very first gaming pc soon. i have already purchased the case which came with 3 molex case fans. Can anyone help me find a way to control these fans as i don't want them to be running at ful speed while idling. I've been doing some research and can't find any clear answers. can i buy a fan controller somwhere which accepts molex case fans. Or something which will do the job. Thanks

Welcome to the Forums!

If you just want to directly connect it to the PSU but not at full speed you can do the 5V or 7V mod, I have a write up on this here:

Are sure it's molex fans? When I got a case the fans were 3pin connected to a Molex adapter

I've seen linus tutorial on that and he highly recommends not doing it xD I'm hoping to be able to control the speed with a dial/knob or something along those lines.

It's perfectly safe to mod it, it won't cause any problems but if you want a very basic controller something like these will work:

Thank you. That's exactly what i was looking for. Would i just plug one end directly into the PC and then daisy chain the fans on the other end? However i live in the uk and shipping would be rediculous. I will try to find a uk seller now. Thank you again :)
