BIOS is detecting all 6 GB I have installed (4+2 GB DDR3 memory.)

Windows is detecting all 6 GB I have installed (3.48 GB usable/1.48 GB usable, depending on which slots I use them in.)

Ubuntu reads 3.3 GB.

Computer boots but doesn't transmit any signal to monitor when RAM is in slot 1, but boots and posts and all that in slot 0.

So basically it's detecting RAM in either slot but only truly using RAM from slot 0 and refusing to use any from slot 1.

...any ideas?

Are the two sticks of RAM the same model?
