HDMI error with Asus 27"

Go to solution Solved by pwn_intended,

I've recently built my PC, and it's great. The only problem is, HDMI won't work. I'm currently using DVI.

Monitor is Asus VG27HE.

Graphic Card is the MSI GTX 980 GAMING.

If you are sure that the input on the monitor is set to HDMI, and then it shows "No Signal" or whatever, you may have a faulty monitor, or faulty cable. Confirm it is the monitor by connecting another HDMI display to your computer (a tv or whatever) and confirm if its the cable by using another cable.

DVI is good as well why use hdmi?

I guess he would want hdmi so that he can use the sound on the monitor.

DVI is good as well why use hdmi?

You wouldn't like something new in your PC not working, right? Even if it was a minor thing.

Have you tried another hdmi cable?

When in doubt, re-format.

Yes, both cables were working, as I have tested them on other things.

Have you tried connecting any other devices to the monitor via hdmi?

Thanks, silly me. Forgot to put input to HDMI from excitement. ^_^
