what board do you have

i know on asus boards they have this turbov thing that can overclock for you

otherwise if you have decent cooling then you can just increase the multiplier to ~42 without any voltage change

and then start there increase the voltage by 1 everytime

if it fails then increase some voltage

until the voltage is too high/temps are too high/just cant get it to stablize

Im new to overclocking and I have no idea where to start with overclocking. Please help

This is a good place to start if you haven't seen it already:

In very basic terms to start off make sure you have an adequate cooling solution before overclocking, when starting overclocking some key things are voltages should be kept on manual when dialing in overclocks and stress testing with something like Intel XTU or Adia 64. For voltages on Haswell 1.3V is consider safe with no degradation or affect to the chip.

When start you basically start turning up a multiplier a step at a time and stress testing to see if it's stable for say 30mins if it isn't stable and BSOD increase the voltage a little and test again that's the basics at that point and you rinse and repeat.
