Cheap SAS controller?

Go to solution Solved by scottyseng,

Well considering i have a few SAS drives logic would state i need a SAS controller

Wow, pretty amazed you have SAS drives. These things are really expensive. haha. But yeah, I would look for a used SAS 6Gb/s HBA on ebay. There's not really a cheaper option. The Dell ones are good enough. New HBAs cost $200-300ish (At least the LSI ones do).

Just for some HDDs not SSDs, cheapest one available? or top 2 cheapest?

CANADIAN DOLLARS!!!!!

Thanks

You don't need RAID right? You might look on ebay. I managed to get a used 2 port 6Gb/s SAS Dell HBA controller for $50.

We are going to need a little more info if we are going to help you, like what will be your use and how many available and is second hand an option etc etc.
