I've had this card for a while now and when i upgraded my motherboard i completly spaced and forgot about a pci slot for it (dont have one on a crosshair v formula-z). So i was wondering would this little guy i found work with my board and sound card:

That's pcie not PCI

On my phone so I can't researche the card more but The only pcie > PCI turn a full size slot to half height slot.

You would need this plus a PCI extension. I don't think the card would fit with the adapter and one end of an extension, unless you cut a hole in your mobo tray

Well i seems the usb connector would be long enough to rach and i have 3 extra extensions slot underneath my motherboard would i really need an extension?

What I'm saying is, you plug this adapter into your mobo, then use this extension and it might fit. If you were to use an extension then an adapter, I don't think there'd be enough space between the card and the mobo tray for the adapter to fit (i understand there wouldn't be the mobo where you're putting it).
