1080p IPS monitor

Sue

Hello, I'm looking for a 1080p IPS monitor, because I'm officially tired of my laptop's TN panel.

My uses are mainly internet browsing, a little bit of Photoshop and gaming. a panel with displayport will be preferable.

Budget: 400$

Thanks in advance.

Best is pretty subjective...I would go with the dell because its not only really good but also far better looking than most other.

Many people like the ASUS23PB238Q or  ASUS VS239H-P too.

EIZO FG2421 is best monitor on the market after the Acer XB270HU.

It's IPS, 120hz at 1080P, what do you want more :)

Open your eyes and break your chains. Console peasantry is just a state of mind.

Well yeah, nearly the same, just like PLS from Samsung  :)

Hmmm are you sure? PLS was just samsungs way of saying "No no...we are special"....

But I have always been of the impression that VA was a attempt to combine the qualities from IPS and TN....VA was the result...Have heard they had some ghosting problems in the past though.

No. No, no, no. VA is not like IPS at all. PLS, however, is. VA is a completely different methodology at displaying an image, and does not have the accuracy of an IPS. It does have deeper blacks, though.

Get a U2414H. You'll love them. I do. I couldn't stand the VA panel I used to have.
