So what do you all recommend for a surveillance server on the software side?

Currently I have two old phones I am using for ip cameras with plans for more, If I connect directly to them over my network, they have almost no latency, and are doing mostly 30fps at 1080p, but with the three different bits of surveillance software I've tried, they all preview at like 4 or 5fps and have a second of latency. one (iSpy) does 6-15fps, but still some bitchin latency. I'm using a core2quad for the host, and it isnt even pushing the cpu, so theres something very broken.

Any ideas?

Also, heres how you keep a galaxy s4 from overheating: http://i.imgur.com/yYO4O52.jpg

later had to add a fan because it STILL overheated after it completely heatsoaked that massive cooler >.<
