try restarting windows explorer

go to task manager (ctrl + shitf + esc), find windows explorer, and click restart

I'm going to guess you're on a laptop.

 

Did you reboot it first? if it didn't fix it then go to this link and download FixWin and run Explorer.exe doesn't start. then reboot.

 

You can also try this without rebooting.

hit CTRL+SHIFT+ESC and find explorer.exe and kill it and it will reboot it.
