I currently have a Dell st2010, will the asus vg24qe with a tn panel look as good colour wise? Because I know it's TN panel.

Well, the ST2010 has only a resolution of 1600x900 compared to the 1920x1080 of the VG24QE and I expect the panel of that ASUS monitor to be much better than that old Dell.

Also switching from 20'' to 24'' is a nice change.

And I just saw that the ASUS one has even a 144Hz refresh rate, so you'll notice a large difference while gaming.

Well it wont have a amazing viewing angle or color accuracy of a ips. But you are still going from a extremely budget 6 year old monitor to a fairly high end modern monitor and there has been quiet a few advancements in regular non ips panels since then.
