Do you actually have a use for the 4790K? Do you plan on overclocking in the future?

What is happening with the build in your profile?

The OP build seems very unbalanced to me. But there little significant data on how the system will be used.

that is not mine that is a build my parents bought and this one stands in the living room so the build that i am paying myself will be my own and will be in my room.

as for what ill be doing with it is: gaming, game recording, video edditing/rendering that why im getting an i7 becouse ive tried it on my current i5 and its not the best experiance

Consider a Xeon E3-1231 V3 or locked i7 cpu on an H97 motherboard with 2x8GB of memory and an ssd. Editing is not only about cpu power. Storage speed makes a difference, especially with lower amounts of memory.

If you do nothing else, make sure to get a better psu.

The hard drive is still usable - it can be made purely as a media drive.

The power supply is fine. Check Jonny Guru's review on it. It's a pretty good unit.

An E3 V3 Xeon has Haswell cores. The same cores as an i7. But if you want to overclock, you do need an unlocked processor. My comment regarding the psu had nothing to do with the capacity. The unit is only average. There are better models competitively priced in most markets. If you want a good overclock, you would be well advised to get a psu that does a better job of delivering clean and stable power.

It's still a pretty okay unit. Capacitor selection isn't great though.

To quote the "good" aspects of the unit:

  • Excellent +12V load regulation.
  • 80+ Bronze Certified.
  • Good ripple suppression.
  • 5 Year Warranty.
  • Compact housing.
  • Haswell Ready.
