Which gpu

I am building my dad a workstation pc and i was thinking about getting a 7 series nvidia card. The pc will be used for light video editing and photo editing as well as all the other general tasks (not gaming). I was thinking something like the 770 and if you think this is good which one should i get? and if not what are your gpu suggestions?

If the programs he uses dont use cuda, then just get something cheap like a 750 ti, but if they do use cuda, something beefier like a 760 would be better

i dont think you need that much gpu horsepower, i mean the 770 maxes out most games at 1080p and youre dad is not gonna game...
