Windows 10 updates

so i am constantly being bombarded with update from windows on windows 10 and it is nuking my internet, i normally get 12 down .75 up (Australia)and it never goes above 5 now; and my pc restarted while playing gta v to install updates. can someone please tell me how to stop all of the updates? please. it makes pc lag when i have updates in the background.

If you have windows 10 pro you can disable auto updates.

Do the updates and it will not bug you. There is a lot of updates as Microsoft is releasing them to fix issues people are having. Once Windows 10 is in good state (probably in 1-2 months from now), it should reduce.

But what you can do is go under Settings > Update & Security > Advanced Options > Defer upgrades (Windows 10 Pro only).

This will put a temporary hold on the updates. The period is 'several months', after that it will force install them. The idea I am proposing is that you put a hold on updates, and on a later time, when you have time, you manually update it.

If you have windows 10 pro you can disable auto updates.

You cannot disable auto-updates. No matter the edition of Windows, beside Enterprise (because it is the company server that will be delivering the updates to each system, during IT system update cycle)
