Will Windows 7 Activate?

Hey all, I am repairing an old laptop to sell and help pay for my new R9 380 Nitro. I am [totally not] pirating a Windows 7 ISO and I want to use the activation key on the bottom of the laptop (which is for Windows 7). Since the serial key is tied to the motherboard of the laptop will it activate normally? Thanks!

Try enter your key in there, I can't recommend downloading a windows ISO from anywhere that isn't a trusted source (or atleast no pirate bay).

I wouldn't even hint a pirating on here, the mods might take the thread down of something, just saying.

Edit: I should actually answer your question, I think it might not work, often when switching from motherboard vendor to vendor, the key can stop working, could be wrong though.

Still torrent files though, kinda just playing it safe :3, I got told off waaay back for hinting and stuff that's all.

They seem pretty lenient on it, it's not really condoned here, but it's not really talked about either. I've been on here for a while.

Yeah I accidentally started downloading the wrong language lol. Got the right one hopefully. That website that checked the key said it was an OEM key so I can't redownload the ISO even though it's legal to do so.

Tons of stuff besides pirating software uses torrents. The Heaven and Valley benchmarks can be downloaded through a torrent, it's on their official website.

 

 

Torrents are perfectly legal? 

 

For large files, peer-to-peer is ideal, many well known companies use torrent files for larger files.

So long as it's not copyrighted material, then linking to and discussing torrents is perfectly fine on the forum as far as I'm aware. 

 

I was just being overly cautious that's all.
