help, R5E, usb bios?

problem, I just got my mobo in and it didn't come with the latest bios, so I need to update the bios for it to read my 16 gig dims....
can't post with my ram, and don't have any other DDR4 mem sticks, and so im left with updating via USB...
on my p9x79 WS I just slapped the bios file on a fat 32 thumb and slipped it in the white labeled slot, then held it down until it starts blinking...
on this board it doesn't label the slot I'm supposed to be using, and so far hasn't worked on any of them.

im getting Qcode 53

I've loaded the bios onto an empty fat 32 16gb thumb and renamed it "R5E.CAP"

the manual should say which port for the bios flashback

 

also you dont need any CPU or RAM 

 

 

just plug in power plugs

doesn't look like it matters which usb slot

It does, it's the very bottom one underneath the ps2 port. I was also pressing the clear cmos button because it's the the same symbol as all the pictures (and on my p9x79 ws) but I called asus tech and nobody could figure it I UT so they put me on call back, so I just read the motherboard manual front to back and sure enough in the middle of the book it mentions it on one page completely seperate for the entire in depth section about updating bios the other 8363837 ways.

So for those trying to boot with 16gb dimms, bottom usb 2 port and press the little chain link button

you wont need anything other than the power plugs installed
