decent asic quality ?

so i checked the quality of my strix 970 and its a 73.1% is this decent ? and what do you guys have on ur 970`s ? post ur model and manufacturer

Mate, ASIC quality doesn't matter. My 980ti is 73% and overclocks so high that the only thing limiting it is not being able to pull enough power since it's only 6 and 8 pin.

well it seems pretty average seeing as jayztwocents has a 72,73,74 in his 3 gpu`s respectively, not sayingthat he is the only source but from seeing that and how he got a random 3 cards that were in the 73 rrange im guessng its pretty average

i know im just bored and want to see what others have, i can get my strix to boost to 1556 mhz on stock voltage and i havent tried messing with voltage but im sure it can go higher

bud I'm not saying asic quality determines anything, all it is the efficiency y and how much voltage leakage there is, you don't have to go around calling people noobs

It only determines the voltage and temps of the core slightly - nothing major. I have 77% and get 70*C core on a 7950
A friend has 71% and gets 75*C core on a 7970

ASIC adds like 1*C maybe 2*C in this case. Not a big thing.

is that 1555 the clock it boosts to ? Or is that what you have it set to and it boosts to more ? If so your probably pretty close to gofspar

I think his boosts to 1600 or a little over, if you find out what your card boosts to, you might have the fastest 970 here if you can get above 1600 and you would have to see what he's running for memory clock

when you overclock a card e.g. add +100Mhz it adds that to the boost speed of the card so my boost speed is 1555Mhz

on my card with gpu tweak say it's stock at 1275 it boosts to 1350, but say I oc to 1470mhz it boosts to 1556mhz so I'm not setting the max I'm just setting it up and gpu boost brings it up higher if that makes sense

I want to see if my card could come close to 1600mhz that would be the ultimate achievement for a strix
