So my movie collection has grown too large for me to keep track of in my head and I need to start building a database to ensure that I don't buy doubles.

I know there are online databases, but I was wondering how many folks keep their databases in Excel and what they list in their excel columns. I am also considering online databases if it would give me a bit of flexibility as to what I own, in what formats, and other random tidbits.

Suggestions?

Thanks!

Shove it in OneNote then update it at home on your PC and then view it when you're at the supermarket buying DVDs

I considered that, but I need some level of organization. Dont want to just throw stuff onto One Note.

Also forgot to mention that I would probably be sharing this with some friends since we trade and borrow movies from each other a lot.

OneNote is still the perf solution. You can do a "find" thing to find the movie if you have already got it and you can share it with all your mates providing they download the OneNote app and you allow them to view and edit it.

That could work, but I doubt theyre going to download OneNote just for sharing a movie doc.

Thanks!
