Hey guys so my uncle has a load of VHS that he wants to convert over to video and I suggested going the Elgato/Avermedia route? Is ther any device that as well as doing HD will do composite/comes with composite cables/adapters? He would like to use it for HD later on but wants to use for SD right now obviosuly.

Availability in UK is a must of course!

Thanks guys <3

Uhm. HD and VHS aren't good in same sentense. Other than that, any VHS player with output with alalog (video+RCA) and any capture card or more special converter is good. You can find special converters made by Magix etc. from Amazon.

You would need professional grade gear to enhance VHS quality to be even close to 720p.

E: Oh yeah, there are special VHS to DVD made some years ago. I don't know if you can find them new anymore. My dad has one that is pretty good, made by Sony.
