So the other day I received a Club3D R7 260x as a gift, and I absolutely love it so far (Definite upgrade from my GT 730).

I tried setting a fan curve while doing some coin mining (I know it's not very profitable but that's not the point of this thread) and this is what my fan does.

The card came with 1030 MHz on the core and 1250 MHz on the memory.

With the fan fluctuating like that, temps are bouncing around 71C and 72C.

So I want to know if it's just a bug with MSI Afterburner or if I'm doing something wrong.

Your fan controller is problably broken, just set it to a constant speed like 40% and set it to a higher percentage when you are mining, by the way, does this only happen when you are mining or not?

So far it's only happening when I'm mining, but give me a few minutes, I'm going to see what it's like while playing GTA V.

I played GTA V at 1080p low settings and the fan speed stayed fairly consistent.

Although I would really like to know what it only happens when mining.

If it only happens while mining, the best thing to do is stop mining with your GPU, if you really wanna mine, buy a mining machine. The profits are way too small to risk your GPU being fried.
