Prebuilt Laptop

8enjicraf2

Hey Guys,

I have being looking into getting a new laptop with the money I have saved up, looking at the the ones form HP, Dell, lenovo and more...

One thing I noticed is that you loose so much performance getting a laptop compared to a similarly priced PC, anyway I stumbled across a company called pcspecialist.co.uk and found that their laptops are way better for the same price. I found one that was right for my budget, so can you give me your opinions. Thanks in advance.

Specs:

i3-4100M 3.50Ghz 2 cores (obviously, its an i3) with ht 4 threads 3Mb cache

4GB 1600mhz RAM (With the intention to upgrade when possible)

1TB SATA 2 5400rpm 8mb cache (With the intention to upgrade when possible)

extra HDD bay instead of dvd drive (Who the hell uses DVDs for gaming in 2015?)

Not bad actually. you got yourself there a Clevo W650SC (confirmed, well kind of). Seems all okay, except the i3 bugs me a little, but at least you can upgrade it yourself at a later date.

Quite a good lappy for that price. The i3 is clocked like a desktop model and since it's a Clevo, I don't find that the least bit surprising. It'll likely run cool and be good for some light-medium gaming but don't expect max settings or anything - games like Witcher 3 will likely require low-medium at best.

That looks pretty slick. A dedicated gpu in that price point is pretty good.

My friend has this machine. When the 4710MQ was paired with the 950M, it could play at about high settings. Maybe you'll get like medium-ish.

I'll suggest stretching your budget a little and get the full HD IPS panel, this would save you the hassle of changing it yourself later on.
