Corsair sp120?

don't bother. They push air well enough, but are very loud doing it. the quiet edition do marginally better, but you're better off going for basically ANY other fan. They may not be as sexy. but they will be a hell of a lot quieter than those jet-engine excuses for fans. Look into noctua, be Quiet!, and Noiseblockers, also the spectre pro from bitfenix are a great contender, offering great acoustics, cfm, and style.

Can someone tell me how loud the sp120 gets and how much air flow can travel thought it (push pull h75)

There are two versions the Quiet or Performance Editions, th quiet ones are around 1350RPM and I would say close to silent when on the low end, for the Performance ones even on the lowest setting they are fairly loud being a 2350RPM fan.

Well what's the best for performance and.silence.... I'll prefer silence

I have SP120 Quiet Editions (PWM) and they are fairly silent until the 700RPM range, if you can fit something like Noctua's in your budget that would be ideal or Fractal Design's new Venturi fans those are pretty good from what I've read.

The performance and quiet edition produce the same noise at the same rpm, say 1,200rpm. Their fan blade are the same, only the motors have different rpm rages. Your statement is slightly misleading.

I'm talking about the low end (sub 700RPM), at the high end yes they are fairly similar.

I'll say their fan noise are still the same at low speed 700rpm since the fan blade are the same design and material. However the motor noise is different.

Sub 700rpm for most applications are idle speed.

The Performance editions can't go as low as the Quiet editions so they would make more noise since they operate at a higher RPM.

I haven't use the SP120 for quite sometime. So I don't remember exactly how slow the performance edition can go. However I still have both the performance and quiet edition somewhere in my house. I'll get back to you after I test them.

The Quiet editions on PWM can go to about 400 RPM while the Performance Editions I have on hand (3 Pin) are around 650-700RPM.

800 RPM on my five 3$ fans is nearly silent so I would imagine that 400 would make a negligible amount of noise.

Unless your ear is right up to them you don't really hear anything, I just let my fans idle for the most part so I don't hear them, at around 750-800RPM though on a rads or heatsinks you can start to barely hear them.

Yeah, the Quiet edition PWM can go as slow as 400rpm. The Performance PWM edition on PWM control will spin as low as 740rpm. However using fan controller, it will do 650rpm.

Your statement is valid only if you need to go below 700rpm. But you say that yourself. At 750-800rpm. They are already nearly silent. So my point still stand. At the same rpm, performance and quiet editions produce the same noise. Unless, of course for some reasons, you prefer lower than 700rpm.
