Hey guys, I am soon going to attempt to build my first custom PC. I've been doing alot of research and that's when I stumbled upon Linus's videos a couple weeks back. Ever since then I've been trying to decide on parts for an ok gaming PC. I'm going to list all the parts I am currently planning to buy and maybe you guys could help me with some recommendations. don't ever get a AMD chip, no matter what your budget is you can fit an intel chip (besides if its like 300 dollars)

you could but you'll get so much more out of a i5 in any CPU based game, anything is better then an almost 3 year old AMD CPU

You'll need a better PSU, like a 500 or 600W. And no sense getting a modular one. Standard is just fine and cheaper. Just not worth the price for a modular.

Also, upgrade the CPU to an FX-8350 (if using an AMD chip). 6300 is useless in my opinion. Oh and for a gaming PC you'll need a better CPU cooler than stock. Get a Hyper D92 or Hyper 212 EVO.

Go with a cheaper case such as a Cooler Master Elite 430. No need to pay $60 for a mid-tower. Keep it at or below $50 I'd say.

If you have any budget left, get a better GPU. If not, I suppose a 750Ti will be fine but don't try running new titles at Ultra settings ._. you'll kill your computer.

If you are like me who lives somewhere hot, I would consider getting Hyper 212. You can Save if you go cheaper for the case. Would suggest to get a 250 GB SSD tho.
