Hi!

My current computer is pretty old already and I would like to build a new, solid allround computer with good value for money.

My usage is about...

90% Office, Browsing, Youtube, etc

8% Video editing

2% gaming ;) (years ago I used to be a pc gamer, but I switched to consoles since the original Xbox... since then I haven't played on the PC anymore. But who knows...;)

Also it's important to me to have a slick compact case which is still flexible enough to house one or two 3,5" HDDs. I don't need an external drive though. Ideally it has a normal to low noise level.

The mainboard should include all the features like Wifi AC, bluetooth, display port, USB 3, LAN, etc It should also have a slot for a possible graphics card extension. At the beginning (or maybe for ever) I don't need a GPU.

What do you guys think? I had the following in mind... is this right at the sweet spot regarding value? Do these components fit well together?

Thanks for your advice.

Cheers,

Coldplayer (from Vienna, EU)

Total budget?

In your case I would highly recommend the broadwell i5 as the IGPU is stronger than anything the consoles have anyways (by a massive margin, its like a 270 on a cpu).

Budget - hard to say, because I live in Europe ;)

I would say 400-500€ - That's about 450-550$

What I forgot to mention is that I will use my old SSD (2,5") and HDD (3,5")

Another thought: Should I maybe switch to an AMD A10-7870K as it should be a better graphics performance compared to the i5?
