I keep hearing sales of desktop computers are falling.  Im not sure if it's because there dropping in popularity or lasting longer causing people to not have to buy them as often.  My computer is 3 years old I have upgraded my GPU because old one died other then that it does everything I need. 1080 gaming is so easy now you don't really need a powerful computer.  The price of 4K monitor or ultra wide is still so high(50% of original build cost). Just was thinking if GPU manufactures wanted to offer more affordable monitors to boost GPU sales. If most consumers stay at 1080 gaming sales are going to stay low. I keep hearing how little people are going to 4K.

Because people with normal needs will just buy like a macbook or laptop. There isn't much need for pre made desktops since anymore who wants a gaming one or specific tasks either gets a custom one or builds their own.
