Windows 10 USB Install Drive Question

Hi,

I want to make a Windows 10 USB install drive, but have a question. I have a spare Kingston 64GB USB 3.0 drive with about 90mb read & 12mb write. Would that drive be fine for this purpose? Or should I just buy a different drive?

 

I have never made a Windows install USB drive before so I'm not sure if a faster USB drive is needed or not. I have also only recently started to get in to tech and want to learn.

Its a spare drive I have lying around and I also was going to put drivers and commonly used programs on it.

basically any drive would work

but in most cases the media creation tool will format your flash drive

so be sure to back up first

Any type of drive with the media installation will work.
